Our firm draws inspiration from leadership examples that value the same values, ethics and thoughtfulness we do. Verus is the original family name of one of the most respected statesman, military leader and stoic philosopher in history, Marcus Aurelius. The stoics believed in purpose, hard work, pragmatism, teamwork, and empathy as components of true understanding combined with logical, philosophical rigor.
Toby Redshaw has driven massive P&L tech transformation across the globe at the C Level across multiple verticals including Manufacturing, Consumer Electronics, eCommerce, Logistics/Transportation/Supply Chain, Financial Services, Telecom, AI, Geo-Intelligence. He has lead turnarounds at startups and built them from scratch. He has deep diversity and social responsibility commitment, activity and results. He has participated on 30+ boards and advisory boards including as Exec Chairman, founding Chairman and Exec Chairman of a Cancer Charity.
Toby was named to Top CTO 25 – Most Influential IT leaders by InfoWorld and Top 50 Global CIOs by InformationWeek.
Prior to Verus, Toby led Technology Strategy for Verizon and oversaw Verizon’s Enterprise Innovation and 5G Solutions. He ran their 5G Ecosystems (built the first 5G labs/incubators), Innovation and Product Development, AR/VR and Location Services/Geo Intelligence Businesses. Toby was also the CEO of Kevington Advisors, a leading-edge consultancy offering services in enterprise technology strategy and transformation, coaching start-ups and providing deep expertise to a variety of government/military engagements.
Toby previously held Global CIO positions at American Express and Aviva PLC, HQ in London. His responsibilities also included Risk, NPI, and eCommerce. He held simultaneous product, marketing, strategy, venture, supply chain, diversity and technology responsibilities during the six years prior at Motorola, while also Executive Chairman of a start-up portfolio company.
In 2000 Toby was a GM at a global start-up, one of the first cloud-based solution platforms for hospitality operating offices in Silicon Valley, China, and London. Toby started his career at FedEx (17 years) working in both business and technology across Asia, Latin America and the U.S. He was part of the team that created the international express sector and ran the global customer automation/supply chain programs.
Jen Snow is a Strategic Advisor at Verus Advisory.
Jen brings 24 years of experience as a technologist, strategist and innovation officer operating across a diverse set of technologies and projects in support of the Department of Defense, Interagency, and Allied partners. She has served as an advisor on technology and innovation projects with John Hopkins University, Stanford University, Georgetown University and the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Jen’s work has been highlighted by seniors at the White House, the National Security Council, and Special Operations Command as well as international leadership across academia and the private sector. Her insights have been crucial to partners seeking to understand emergent risks and opportunities in technology influenced environments.
As a military officer, Jen has completed tours in Iraq and Afghanistan including a seven month deployment where she was responsible for 67 locations across the country and $365M in assets. She has served with Air Force Special Operations Command, Joint Special Operations Command, U.S. Special Operations Command, the National Security Agency and the Pentagon. Jen is a Distinguished Graduate of the Naval Postgraduate School. She also serves as the CTO for The Mentor Project and is an Innovation Advisor for MoonMark Space.
